Playing catch up these holidays... Movie catch up that is...
There're soooooooooo many movies that I wanna watch, but had no chance to when they premiered on the silver screens. So, bought the disks and watched it on my own silver screen instead. ;)

24th May (Tuesday)

Had nothing but great reviews about Avatar. So, watched it with the lights way down low and volume way up high... XD

The effects were Awesome... exactly as what i've heard. They have glowing trees and weird looking horses at Pandora. And they have these cool looking flying things called banshees that can knock spaceships off the sky..

I would rate this movie 5 out of a possible 5. Definitely worth watching if you're into sci-fi and stuff. :D

25th May (Wednesday)

Bought this disk cause there weren't much choices left... >.<
It was okay... with a band of 7/8 soldiers defeating the entire alien invasion who count on WATER, H2O as fuel... =.= And it has some touching scenes in the movie too.. =)
Oh, and I guess Michelle Rodriguez survived the chopper explosion from Avatar last night to become a technical specialist soldier in LA??? XD
Rating: 4/5??? =/

Ahh.... OWLS... my favourite kind of bird after the birds of prey... And this time, they TALK!!! and fight.. as a matter of fact.

This cartoon set in Australia was kinda entertaining.. and a good training for the HSC finals too! All the characters were speaking Australian slang in the movie!!! =))

Finally.. the day i've been waiting for!!! =)

FAST FIVE was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! :D And with Awesome company at the cinema, it was all the better...

Another outing for the HSC Crappers <3 I didn't get any photos though.. >.<

FastFive was a combination of crew for the previous Fast & Furious movies. Awsome! especially Han from Tokyo Drift. :) One of the best drivers I've ever seen. Can't wait for the Sixth movie to premier.. if there actually is a sixth edition.

Right, after the movie, we crappers crashed at Neway for songs but I just sang to myself throughout the entire time.. :) It was absolutely craaaazeeeeee but I liked it though... Hope there are more outings like these next time... :D

Oh, and i rate this show: 10 outta 5.. totally worth watching again... XD

This was just half a day... at night... another movie on my personal silver screen...

I have always wanted to watch this... I AM NUMBER FOUR... The trailers sounds cool and mysterious but no one seems to be enthusiastic about it when it first showed in cinemas. So, after long last, finally got to watch it... :)

It was exactly my genre of movies.. with magic and aliens and stuff and lights shooting out from hands and gruesome looking bad guys... :P How I wish we had some o' these in real life??? So that we can 'zap' some things out of our sight if we don't like it.. ;)

My rating: 4.5/5 :D

Right.. down to business. All these are the build up for tonights Grand Finale, the Champions League final. /wahaha My favourite team against the Spanish giants- Barcelona.. *boooooooooooooooooooooooo* XD

But before that, i got my nightly movie to watch and this time, its special....

Its a Chinese movie!!! :D LOL, i seldom watch chinese movies and especially with Jay Chou in it. Last Chinese movie i remembered watching was Kung Fu Dunk, which also has JC in it. :)

Think i'll enjoy this show very much.. long time didn't watch Chinese shows d.. Time to brush up on my Chinese language.. >.<

After the show would be the main event... the final football event of the 2010/11 season and I will be crossing my fingers counting on Man Utd to beat Barca.. even though it seems that all the odds are stacked against the Red Devils. No matter win or lose i'll still support you guys!!! even though this means that I will NOT be getting ANY sleep tonight... XD

The RED DEVILS have done it!!! A record 19 times Premier League Champions, 1 more than arch rivals Liverpool. =D>

I got an early prediction of the match and guess what?! The prediction was sooooooo accurate! ;)

Luckily hols have already started so of course I stayed up to watch... even if there were classes today i would also watch it anyway.. :P And its totally worth waking up at 9 this morning for this... :D

Manchester United were already champions following the 1-1 draw with Blackburn last weekend and they rapped it up with style yesterday night... er, this morning with a 4-2 win over Blackpool. Park Ji Sung, Michael Owen and Anderson were the scorers of the match plus an own goal from Evatt provided ManU with the final win on home ground. :)

Till We Meet Again

Its the end of mid-term exams and for some of us, this time is just the beginning of another new chapter in their lives... I'm talking about those who got into matriculation and JPA and even those who just started college.

So much has happened, so many things have changed since we graduated and now the only time we meet will be the last one before they'll be going off to their own ways. =.=

On Friday, directly after the last paper which was Chemistry (my worst subject after Biology), I attended the first of the farewells, lunch with college mates at Queensbay. Didn't get any photos cause the main people weren't there when i left... -.- Cheng Yi and Tat Seng who will be leaving the HSC course for matrix were the people of the hour... They joined our college mates for Pirates after I left for the second farewell...

From Queens, went down to Gurney for another farewell 'party' eventhough when i reached there were only 2 kittens present. Waited almost an hour before the party-goers reached Redbox and then only the 'party' started. Kee Khai, Jeremy and Lead Kert were the people of that hour. All going to Kedah... =.= No photos... yet. Still waiting for them somewhere cause i didn't take any due to the lethargy... Paid rm10 for 2 glasses of drinks but no singing... =.=

Right, Saturday.... when the real fun began... Here was I, at 1st Avenue mall, with fellow A1 brothers, fully refreshed, and ready to say goodbye. :( People of the moment, Yao Sheng, who was going for matrix and Chee Wei a.k.a NukeRUs going to GERMANY under JPA!!! /shock, a dream come true for long time Hitler fan... :P One of the four people from my school who accepted overseas JPA scholarship...

This was the day we had our Moral exams and after that since we finished earlier, decided to get something to eat with the guys who finished M'sian Studies earlier... But, they bailed on us... =.=

Oh well, nothing to do... went up to the rooftop to get a picture of what we were expecting on May 1. Expected a whole lotta cars there and good lighting but it turned out the total opposite!
Not a car in sight and the lighting was so suited to an emo emo feel, so, why not hold it now?

Real Madrid gana la Copa del Rey

4 Classicos in a span of 18 days... 2 over and 2 more to go... The first Classico which was a league game ended in a 1-1 draw which saw Messi and Ronaldo both scoring from the spot. The second Classico was the King's Cup final, or rather the Copa del Rey as it is called in Spain.

Its the first ever Classico i've ever watched and it was absolutely A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! The match was as expected dominated by Barcelona but whenever Real broke through in their counters, they often create good chances which most seem not to find the back of the net... :(

One word... P-E-R-F-E-C-T lighting yesterday for photography. I hardly had to do any editting at all!! XD

Who knew we had biology experiments out in Botanical Gardens in college??? LOL

We we supposed to do conduct two experiments there, one to draw cacti plants and another to erm, pick toothpicks... =.=

For the first experiment, we were suppose to find and draw 7 different species of cactus found in the Cacti House and then label'em.

What species of cactus is this??? Looked more like a hairy watermelon.. XD

Generally, we're supposed to eat (find) different coloured worms (toothpicks) scattered around a certain area. And out of the 100 worms present, the amount we found would be considered 'killed'!!! /wahaha

And after bout an hour of finding high and low for those 'worms'. The experiment ended with most of the green 'worms' still out there. Camouflage abilities... -.-

PRE-U Orientation Night

First of all, i've changed my blog title already... cause its old... and its gettin on my nerves.. ._.
And about how to pronounce it and what does it means... find it out by yourself... :p

Right, down to business... the night we've (I've) been waiting for... Its a barbeque event planned out by the Pre-U society committee to 'welcome' the pre-u students.. Yea, welcome us when its April... -.-

And i almost wished i didn't sign up to be the official photographer of the event, cause i suck at night photography...

Well, we expected it to be a nice quite barbeque event with less than half of the people attending but how wrong are we... The 'nice and quiet' barbeque turned into a rave!!!

As soon as i reached the crappers were already snatching away my cam and begin to camwhore... =.=

From Old Friends to New Ones

Last post was about old school mates and SPM results, this post will be the exact opposite: New ones and absolutely no results whatsoever.

Had my first ever outing with college-mates after almost three months studying together, how awesome is that?! :D Last time, i only had outings with friends one year after studying together. =.=

We went to watch Unknown. My first ever 18PL movie... XD. The movie was overall satisfying, though i was confused during some parts of the movie and nearly fell asleep. /blur

The movie was practically about an American spy planning to assassinate someone famous but ended up in an accident and lost his memory. He ended up believing his cover identity, a Dr. Martin Harris and then the trouble brews.

LOL, the girls on my right were all excited over the show (Stella was even holding popcorn up to her face whenever she feels that someone's gonna get killed) but the two guys on my left were like, super quiet throughout the entire movie =.= And i was stuck between these two.. well, its better than someone crying on my left and laughing on my right right? ;)

Two of the three main actors Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger and January Jones looked awfully familiar and after some searching and probing, i finally found out... Neeson was in Batman Begins and Star Wars I & II as Qui-Gon Jinn while Diane Kruger was in National Treasure with Nicholas Cage. /wahaha stalker... XD

SPM Results Day

Luckily, it turned out to be a dream... not a nightmare. *phew*

Yup, woke up with butterflies in my tummy this morning and my Facebook home page full of ass-pee-am posts... -.- And as promised, i brought along my camera to school for the big event even though i know i won't get many photos.

Never thought i would see this place so soon again...

And at about 10.30 a.m. a single row of prefects came outta no where carrying the results... The crowd even applauded as if the tension in the air isn't mounting any higher...

Those who got 9A's and below can collect their slips here, while those having 9 and above had to make their way to the indoor basketball court to collect. What better way to keep up the suspense... -.-

And miraculously, i found myself walking to the basketball court.

And then you could guess what happened next... :)

My hands were trembling as i signed the list and the prefects handed me my slip...

YES!!! 10 freakin A's!!! :D :D :D

Then, the usual happened.. people going around asking how many A's others got and slapping them on the back, shaking their hands, laughing and planning where to celebrate next...

Dreams~ or Nightmares~?

Madam Leela said to the class: " On Thursday, make sure you all send in a photostatted copy of your results to me. I have to see whether you all qualify for this HSC course or not. You all are accepted into INTI under condition that you all do well in SPM..."

I can still remember every word my Chemistry lecturer said to us yesterday. Well, it is the moment all 2010 SPM sitters are dreading. Its official, the results is going to be released on the 23rd of March.

The newspaper article in today's Star was so tiny that i almost missed it.. until the three capitalized alphabets caught my eye and i flipped back the page...

And I'll most probably with my camera at my old school capturing the joys.. the sorrows... (hopefully more joys than sorrows for me) on that day. Will the nightmares i've been having these few days turn out to be reality??? Or will the nightmares prove to be wrong and everything will be smooth flowing as i hoped?? Well, we'll just have to find out on the 23rd.

Good Luck to all my friends, new and old who sat for the SPM last year... Let me know your results but i won't let you know mine.. :P

It looked like scenes depicted out of the famous movie 2012.

Tens of thousands of people feared death yesterday as a 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan yesterday afternoon. More than 300 reported dead and over 80,000 more missing as a result of Japan's worst earthquake disaster of the century. The tsunami caused by the earthquake was equally devastating as it swallowed up buildings, vehicles, people... -.-

waves up to 10 meters in height surging towards the fragile houses.

planes and cars tossed around like toys.

The whirlpool created out of the tsunami is both amazing and scary at the same time.

Let us pray together for the victims of the earthquake and their families. And hope that the disaster won't cause more damage that it has already done so far. Stay tuned to news broadcasters such as CNN and BBC for the latest updates of the disaster and to everyone in countries which receive tsunami warnings... stay safe and protected.

Five Senses Tingling

In response to Stella Chai's comment on why people can spend hours playing sports... (no offence :D) Here's the poem i wrote bout sports and the five senses of the body (for English assignment). Its true that everyone has different likes and to add, its about the passion of the sport. When everyone 'WAH.....' when you do something spectacular, you know that its the love of the sport and the desire to master it (even though there's only few in the whole world who have reached this state) that drives you to play it. Even after hours, you won't feel any bit tired...
By the way, just had touches of the ball with a complete bunch of strangers this afternoon. And i don't know whether the pros were being polite or what but i scored 10 goals wearing my favourite MU jersey... a personal record for me... :)

7th day of the lunar new year is also renri, 人日, the common man's birthday. It is the day where everyone gets older by a year. And it simply is a tradition to eat yusheng, tossed raw fish salad. (Wikipedia the free encyclopedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year#Seventh_day). See? APA citation leh.... OMG, just crazy about reports nowadays... XD

Here're 8 things you should say when preparing to toss:

1. Putting down the yusheng on the table Gong Xi Fa Cai (恭喜发财）

2. Placing the shredded raw fish Nian Nian You（年年有余）

3. Putting the herbs and pepper Wan Shi Ru Yi （万事如意）

4. Pouring the cooking oil You Shui Duo Duo（油水多多）

5. Pouring the sauces Yi Ben Wan Li（一本万利）

6. Sprinkling the peanut powder Sheng Yi Xing Long（生意兴隆）

7. Sprinkling the sesame seed Jin Yu Man Tang（金玉满堂）

8. Opening the cracker Long Ma Jing Shen（龙马精神）

Place the ingredients in the circle then place the raw fish on top. Then sprinkle the crushed nuts, sesame seeds and the powder powder thingy included. :D

And you will get this, a miniature mountain of colours.

Then, its time to mix it all up. Shout louhei! louhei! and raise the yusheng as high as possible to bring in good fortune. Be careful though, make sure there's still enough on the plate after raising it soo high...

After that, you'll get this: mumble-jumble of colours.

Last of all, you eat it. :)

3rd day of CNY

Day 3, went to Straits Quay for lunch with some relatives from KL. Yea, yea... Straits Quay's like...so.. yesterday. Well, its only my second time there. :)

Island Hopping (Part Three), Dataran Lang & Langkawi Royal Yatch Club ;)

No time to blog... so jam packed all into one post. Hope y'all don't mind ;)

The last stop of island hopping-- Pulau Beras Basah.

Its a beautiful beach with clear waters, lots of people having fun on the beach and people snorkeling.

And since we were just stopping for not long, i didn't snorkel. :(

But i definitely got myself in the water though :D

Then its back to the main island.

Later that evening, we went to Dataran Lang.. where the BIG BIG eagle was....

Definitely gotta visit there. Its actually a port where those people arriving on ferry were supposed to dock there. There was also a miniature shopping mall there and we ended up having Kenny Roger's for dinner. =.=

We spent the last day of the trip travelling the island in our crappy rented car. And the first place we thought of was the Langkawi cable car... which we couldn't find. =.=

So, we ended up visiting the Royal Yatch Club instead. :)

And it was damn HOT!!! /sweat

Got some nice shots though...

After several failed attempts to find the cable car... we finally gave up and headed to the airport for our flight back.
Its was overall a very enjoyable trip, especially to see the eagles up close in the wild. The last time i came here was about 15 years ago. Keeping my fingers crossed for more trips here in the future. :D

Island Hopping (Part Two)

So, we're back to travelling again after Pulau Dayang Bunting, to a place which i was looking forward to the whole trip.

Well, i don;t know the name of the island we were going to, the boatman didn't tell us. -.-

But, its what we're gonna do there that got me deleting all my previous photos in my cam. We're going to feed the eagles!!! :D My favourite species of predator bird!!!

the tiny specks in the sky can peck of your fingers easily. =)

The guide said that this was nothing compared to the start of the hols. According to him, there were hundreds of them earlier in the month coming out for food. And since they're pretty well fed already, we didn't get to see more eagles... :(

Purposely took my 300mm lens with me although i know it would be heavy and troublesome just for these awesome birds... How dedicated i am... XD

We threw pieces of raw chicken into the sea to get the eagles to feed on them but unfortunately, none flew close to our boat.

this doesn't look like an eagle... more like a hawk or a falcon...

Island Hopping (Part One)

Yay, I finally got my photos back!!! :D Am i'm so sharing it with you guys... =)

Few people know what island hopping is, its actually visiting islands, stopping for awhile on each....

Had to wake up super early in the morning to meet the scheduled time.

OMG, i love this place... :-)

It was kinda fun sitting on a speed boat... couldn't tell that the sea was calm or choppy... they all seem the same to me.. the boat still rocks up and down. XD

Passed several small islands on the way to our destination.

First on the list is Pulau Dayang Bunting. There's a lake here which legend tells that the water will make a lady pregnant or something like that...

See how blue the sea is in Langkawi??? Not like Penang right?? XD

Hiked up a hill for about 15 minutes or so to the only place of interest on the island- the lake.

Shin-dipping in the water hoping for fishes to come nibble. :)

There's nothing much to see on the island, just lots of green... So, we moved on to the next island after an hour or so on Pulau Dayang Bunting. The next destination is..... will be revealed in the next post. :D

Nothing much happens these days, went to my neighbours' birthday party yesterday, an eleven and a 7 year old. Strangely, their birthdays fall on the same day! Not really up for photographing cause i don't really know these people but i brought my cam along anyway.

And its the grandest party an eleven (and a seven) year old could have, apart from Andrew's last year. :)
There was a large stage right in front house, with all sorts of programmes. There were martial arts performances, some kid who is the champion of dunno what singing competition singing for the guests, an internationally recognized magician show and also stage girls singing and dancing.

And i totally love this magic show!! forgot what his name was but i was the closest i could get to seeing live magic show in front of my eyes. :)

The Past, Present and the Future

So, if i imagine that i'll be finishing the course at college with a 100% scholarship and then pursuing further education in some other places also with scholarship... it will come true??? I thought it is the knowledge that will get me there???

It seemed like its just yesterday that we just finished SPM and went out celebrating like crazy. In the blink of an eye, we are going our separate ways, either to college, to work, to the National Service or just sitting at home enjoying post-SPM life. :) What will you be doing???

Well, evidence of us parting ways... Friends don't call me out for movies and such anymore, they don't text as often, don't ask 'how are you?' as often and etc. Well, that's not a problem nowadays considering that everyone has their own life outside that tiny ring of friends and will continue to expand it while going on their own ways. They tend to forget who they grew up with once they meet new people.

To be honest, the loneliness can be killing sometimes and yet comforting at the same time. Sometimes, you're just too lonely with no one to talk to less the abundance of strangers you find yourself in so much unlike school where you'll meet someone you know every corner. Yet, the solitude can be a good thing as it gives someone a piece of mind to decide which is best for him/herself without being influenced by the people around.

And i have a feeling that i will get that once i start my studies at INTI College Penang next Monday in the HSC Programme. Not many friends are with me in the programme as i've seen it during orientation so i'll be betting my socks that i'll make new friends there. And according to a friend, college life is so much fun that i couldn't wait to start studying... and that's quite rare coming out from me.

i'll be very busy once i start...

Monday to Friday, 8 in the morn till 5.30 in the evening. This time table will surely kill me. And they break for Chinese New Year from the 31st till the 4th, awfully short in my opinion. We've gotta meet up sometime during that holiday, get a drink or something.

10. Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas

Sin City gets just a little bit more debauched (if that were possible) as the strip is pedestrianized for a massive party, complete with fireworks, sound and light shows, and more clubs than you could visit in a dozen trips. Hundreds of thousands of revelers turn up in the evening, and you can be sure the party is going to get a little crazy - it isn't called Sin City for nothing. At midnight, a massive fireworks display will grab your attention. And for once, it's cool to drink on the streets; everyone else will be doing it.

From around 9pm, this is the place to be in Paris. People flock from across France bringing drinks with them. It may lack the unadulterated hedonism of Las Vegas, but if there is a more romantic and refined way to celebrate the new year with thousands of other people, we couldn't find it.

8. Central World or Sanam Luang, Bangkok

If you want to discover how a New Year's party is thrown in Asia, this is a pretty good place to be with friends. Bangkok is unique, as it celebrates New Year three times every year between January and April - Western, Chinese and Thai. Central World explodes with concerts, food stalls and beer gardens, while Sanam Luang, located opposite the Grand Palace, has an authentically Thai experience with traditional food, music and dancers. Whichever location you choose, you are guaranteed a memorable experience.

Behind the Brandenburg Gate is the "Party Mile." The name says it all. Strasse des 17th Juni (17th June Street) turns into one huge open-air disco, replete with international DJs, laser and light shows and performing artists. 4. Frenchmen Street, New Orleans

Forget Bourbon Street - New Orleans locals head to Frenchmen Street when they want to party. Andrew's 17th Birthday Bash... Hollywood Style

Two parties two days in a row... Wow, that's a first...
Alright, its Andrew's party and its absolutely awesome!!! The atmosphere was phenomenal even though i arrived an hour late, with music, food and decorations all over the place. This birthday was kinda special as it was Hollywood themed and we were supposed to dress up as a favourite character or something. But, as expected, not more than 5 did so...

There was also er, awards such as Best Dressed, Best Artiste Impression, Best Smile, Best Impersonation etc... Didn't remember all the winners but yea... i should stop... -.-

And as usual, i let my photos do the.. er, not talking... whispering. There's bound to be better photos else where...

Yup, the title said it all... One day after the end of SPM was an event that we have been planning over the past few months now- the 5SA1 Class/ Farewell Party... Everyone was present except poor Samuel who had to study for BK the next day.. too bad.

Alright, the party started at 6.30 p.m., food courtesy of Sze Hao and entertainment courtesy of MUA, yours truly... =) Which i thought that i didn't do a good job at all... =(

The food was delicious, as usual.. including tarts, pizza, bee hoon, juice, fries, ice cream and also the barbeque... And as one of the two who bothered to bring cameras, naturally, my job to be the PHOTOGRAPHER, not CAMERAMAN... btw, my camera is perfectly fine if you're wondering... ;)

Oh, and only one of the many teachers we invited attended the party.. Thanks to our Biology teacher, Miss Pang Kee Tin and the host of course, Miss Tan Boon Yeang who supplied the venue.

Finally, trials are over but isn't it out of the frying pan and into the fire???

We can finally cancel the last subject, Civic =.= off the timetable. But, its ever the more closer to the final exam of high school, SPM. Let you all in on a secret, some people are actually feeling sad that today will be the final day of exam in Chung Ling High School.

Last weekend, i got to know that this lady here was coming to Gurney... at 8 at night. Since I watch Moonlight Resonance everyday and is counted as a big fan of her, I thought of staying back to catch her but i never did.

Just got back from KL on Tuesday. Damn tired from the walking and eating and sleeping there. XD And time to get started on revision. =.= Brought Physics SUCCESS along hoping to get some revision done during the trip but ad expected, i didn't even touch it.

And i never fail to bring my trusty 400D along but didn't capture anything interesting. =.=

Martial Arts Farewell

Last week, the Taekwondo, Karate, Judo and Shao Lin Club gathered together for our first ever joint farewell. It was held in The House of Steamboat along Macallister Road. 11 of us occupied 3 tables complete with a steamboat barbecue set.

It was quite entertaining with jokes made all night long. Mostly about Yong Liang's "house" and about Jian Rong eating a new flavoured ice cream... invented by US. XD

Back-to-back-to-back Movies

Nothing to blog about anymore. So, totally random post.

Last week, I caught these 3 movies back-to-back. The Sorcerer's Apprentice, The Last Airbender in GSC and Tekken at home.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice was really funny and entertaining all the way. There were hilarious parts that had everyone laughing. And there were parts that the whole cinema was death quiet. Teresa Palmer was pretty in the movie. :P

While Sorcerer's Apprentice was all exciting and stuff, The Last Airbender was kinda boring for me. If not for the constant discomfort i was experiencing courtesy of the 3D glasses i had on, i would have fallen asleep.

Yup, first time watching in 3D really hurts.

Last but not least, TEKKEN!!! I've been playing Tekken since i was in primary school both on PS2 and PSP. XD The fighting parts are really, really awesome!!!

Well, this MAY be my last post since trials and SPM are looming closer. But on the bright side, the English Premier League has kicked off once again. Perfect for stress relieve during weekends. However, the first few matches already see Chelsea crush West Brom a whooping 6-0!!! wth... =.= Machester's first game will be against Newcastle. Let's hope for the same or even better results, or at least a win... haha

My first ever Bon Odori festival turned up not as i expected but, i'll take it any day else rather than staying at home... Its pretty much nothing... just lots and lots of people flooding the streets, Japanese food, performances, fireworks.. and also girls in kimonos =)

The performances were performed by the PJA (Penang Japanese Association) i think.. No SNSD ah, Wonder Girls ah, Super Junior ah, 2 P.M ah...

International Student's Camp Performance

More Taekwondo madness... in a good way. =)

Our school is organizing an International Student's Camp which lasts one week where students from Vietnam, Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore were to come to Penang and learn all about our cultures and stuff. Pretty international eh??? XD

Today was the opening day of the camp and all the four martial arts clubs are required to perform in the sheltered basketball court. We gathered in school for a rehearsal session this morning... where i bruised my arm and Kee Khai scratched his rather seriously while both of us were trying to break half-inch thick planks.

We were going to perform our Taegeuk 5, 6, 7, & 8, one-step sparring and breaking techniques.

And around 6 in the evening, the performances started...

I brought my DSLR along but wasn't able to get any shots.. except for the group photo you'll see later on.

So, i asked favours from photographers such as Jack Jin and another guy to 'capture that moment' for us. XD

We performed our routine rather smoothly except for a few minor mistakes in Taegeuk. One of the most interesting part is our breaking techniques. Its practically our first time trying to break planks and I couldn't have wished for better. Everyone was able to break their planks, even our injured Kee Khai managed in one blow. Let's hope Jack caught our every movement on his camera. ;)

This year, CLHS Taekwondo Club was at its best compared to the previous years. 8 Red 2s in this "generation" hoping to be promoted to 1st Dan after the next grading. Then its off to the unknown.
AGM's not far away and we'd have to step down from our posts soon and let the next generation of leaders continue our work...

This would probably be my longest post in my history of blogging...

3rd and 4th of July... will be two unforgettable days in my whole life. It marks the first time I compete in the Taekwondo National Remaja Championships which was held in the 4th Floor Banquet Hall of Sunshine Square. Our school sent out 3 teams of 3 to compete in the Poomsae (pattern event) and 5 individuals for the Kyrugi (sparring) event. Guess what? We won all the Bronze, Silver and Gold medals in the Poomsae event!!! geng le??? =) I still don't know about the sparring results as it is to be held on the second day.

The venue itself was already awesome with the posh interiors, cold air conditioning and also the crowd in there was definitely enough for me to savour every moment of it... There was also a photography competition which i FAILED to enter because i didn't know how to... =.=

Well, i'll just post them up here instead. =)

That was one little incident that got us all laughing... this small little Indian boy seems to mimic our every moves... especially Kee Khai, here. He followed us around, mimicked us when we were warming up... and practically everything we did!!! Kinda creepy and cute at the same time...

Soon, it was crunch time for us... time to compete!! We were suppose to do a certain Taegeuk 7 and Taegeuk 8 and which team has the correct timing, style and fluency will win...

Lesson Learnt: Don't Waste Food.

Its practically the end of the holidays now, but not before singing it out in Neway again... =.=

Unbelievable, its my second time to Neway in this hols, once on the first day and now, the last day of the 2-week break... Well, we're actually hanging out to discuss Add Maths project at my place.. and, as usual, we never got there and ended up in Queens instead. LOL

This time was relatively cheaper than our last trip here. We also had all you can eat buffet... eventhough we didn't eat much.. and we also got to stay back for about 10 minutes after our time-up... XD

Secret of the Mysterious Plastic Bag revealed... It is in fact, what we all are seeing for one whole month....

This post is my 100th post for this blog... wow, i've been blogging for two years now.

While others are blogging about the parties they go to or things they did this hols, i'm blogging about... flowers. That's right, f-l-o-w-e-r-s.

Yea, yea, Cameron Highland's famous for their flowers, fruits, tea, etc. we know. As there's nothing much up in Camerons, i just took photos of plants. =.=

I don't know what i did to get this.. but i think its kinda cool.. LOL

I also visited the BOH tea plantations here in Cameron Highlands, where they make the best tea ever...

First Day of Hols (Part Two)

Right, after hanging out in my house for about 3 hours, we set out under the hot sun to Queensbay, the nearest mall to my home.
We went straight to Neway, the new karaoke place in Queens. We got to choose one meal each and we started singing till our throats ached. The total bill was RM300+ i forgot including the meals, two jugs of drinks, and 8 bowls of tit bits- which is compulsory. Each small bowl costs RM11.. wth =.=

We got quite a small room and requested a bigger one. In the end, they got us the biggest room there. Super cool, man... the table had lights in it, three screens around the room, there was even a private toilet in there... I didn't bring my DSLR there as we were going for the movies next so we had to get photos and videos with Yi Jian's camera instead.

Now this is simply amazing... i was facing the screen when the song started.. I thought the singer was the one singing but i just turned back and saw non-other than Jeremy.. His voice was exactly like the singer's without any voice cracking and off pitches...

Just listen for yourself, the sound isn't too good cause, well we didn't have the Canon 550D right? XD

First Day of Hols (Part One)

Right, its the first day of the mid-term hols, and it started with a BANG!

Today will most probably be the most enjoyable day of my entire hols. Many thanks to these guys: Kee Khai, Yi Jian, Sze Hao, Jeremy, Albert, Chee Wei, Chee Yang, Lead Kert, Zong Han and Leonard. Hope i didn't miss anyone out. :P Its them that made my day today.

We had lots of fun at my house since bout 9 this morning, playing with my Nintendo Wii, Kee Khai with my PSP and most of us on my laptop. We joked, we laughed and we stared at the TV screen till our eyes ached.. at least mine did. Here're some photos from my DSLR. The rest of them are in Yi Jian's camera.

It was really fun. I haven't had this lot noise in my living room in a long time. About 10 grown up kids crammed in a living room. Imagine that....

Well, we played games like Ghost Squad and FIFA 09 will bout 12 and walked under the blazing sun to Queens. We went to the newly opened Karaoke box, Neway and then went for Prince of Persia at about 4.30. More about this in the next post... DO NOT MISS IT!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT EVER MISS IT!!!

To sum it all up.. today was freaking a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!! Thanks guys for accompanying me the whole day today, i'll remember it for the rest of my life. XD

First of all I just wanna say: WE WON!!! Yup, my under-dog football team, Banana Spiritz actually beat the Gooners. The match ended with a 2-2 draw, thanks to an accidental own goal from yours truly. =.= and it had to go to penalties. We prevailed 6-4.

Now, down to business... It the hols again. Mid-term just ended and i think i can finally cross off the last subject off the time table, crumple it up and throw it with a 3-point shot right into the bin.

Exam's finally ended and we have two long weeks of holidays this time. Not that i'm liking this or something. Two weeks is going to be a very hard time to spend especially when you can't go out often. The first week might be interesting for me as Maths tuition is cancelled and I have a family trip coming up.

There are a few things i'm planning to do this hols. Let me shed some light on the subject. *drum rolls*

1. I'm gonna learn how to juggle???
First on my list is of course football. As we all know, the football season is upon us once again, with 6 days left to go for the official opening of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. I just have a sudden urge to master some tricks and the most basic one, is how to juggle a ball. Well, here, in Malaysia, we call it tapping the ball. Its the absolute basic for freestyle football and i'm planning to master it... Just like our friend here...

Of course, i also welcome football or futsal. So, whoever wants to play please inform me and give me a lift if you can. XD

2. I'm gonna learn a new language???

Nah, just joking. Next on the list is the SNSDs. Its currently everyone's favorite Korean Girls' Group at the moment. Er, about them... i'm gonna learn to recognise them and tell them apart, learn up their songs if i can... just like our handsome kid, "you-know-who". ;-)

They just released their new song, Caribbean Bay together with Korean guy group 2PM. *what kinda name is that?!* =.=. Caribbean Bay is a new theme park in Korea. The focus is on "who will be the hottest Cabi?"

3. I'm gonna train, train, train!!!

And, speaking about abs... Its definitely time to train up mine for the upcoming 20th Penang Taekwondo Remaja Championship and 21st Penang Closed Championship. *laugh all you can*

I'm finally taking part in the pattern competition with compatriots Chee Jui and Kee Khai. I'm still debating whether to joing the sparring competition which could be dangerous and tiring.

Anyway, strength and stamina is a must and i'm gonna train up this hols. Maybe i'll jog every day for an hour in the morning provided i can wake up and i'll most probably be in the Sports Complex opposite USM two Saturdays training with our Taekwondo instructor.

And, please support our CLHS team this July 3rd and 4th. The competition will be held in the 4th Floor Banquet Hall of Sunshine Square in Bayan Lepas. Go there and support us... support me!!! :P

4. I'm gonna brush up my photography skills...

No questions with this one. I still think my photographs sucks and with the photography magazines i bought recently, i'm gonna try and learn all there is to do with photography during this two-week long holidays. Anyone wanna go on a photoshoot with me? Sound pretty cool... The main subject will be you, not me... And as usual... i would really appreciate it if transport is available.

5. I'm gonna learn undang...
Last but not least, i'm trying to get permission from my parents to learn law that is required to have uour drivers ed. I hope they'll allow me and if they do, i'll most probably signing up for the undang class this Saturday with Shaun, Brandon, etc. Anybody interested? Tell me A.S.A.P so that i have more reasons to convince my parents...

Well, that about sums up what i'm gonna do this hols... I'll be going on a rare outing to Queensbay with some friends for Neway and Prince of Persia. Go find me if you're there and you must belanja me coffee!!! XD Tuesday and Wednesday, maybe Thursday will be spent in Cameron Highlands... again. =.=

Burning The Midnight Oil

Well, its time for my pre-examination post again.. however, exams has already started and i've been sweating for the first three days of the exam- Bio, Karangan, Chinese Paper 1 and Moral. And up next is worse, Monday, Add Maths... Tuesday, Chemistry... T.T and Wednesday, History .... T.T

Just because of Chemistry, i've been up till almost 1 trying to figure out equations and stuff.. nah, just joking, i just pose for the camera...

So, the conclusion is... sleeping behind books...
